From my perspective as TW manager in Germany, the whole TW thing only works if a new member has an email address, otherwise no login and no communication. However, the primary email field is not mandatory by default. It can be set as mandatory on every level within the association but that also means that many clubs don't pay attention and continue to have the field as optional. This in turn leads to members without an email and therefore without access to TW and without a communication option for invites or contact attempts. Make the field mandatory.
