In Germany, we have now often received the feedback that the "Occupation" field in the prospect manager should be optional.
If other associations can confirm that for them the field should be optional as well, then I suggest to change the field accordingly.
The alternative would be to allow configuration of the prospect profile similar to the contact profile through which each association can decide which fields they deem mandatory and what information can be optional.
